Program Outreach in the Amazon
The PPGEAP was created in 2007, its main goal is the training of Human resources that are able to comprehend, in an integrated way, the complex dynamics of the aquatic ecosystems of the Amazon and its natural resources, and at the same time, make its rational use and its conservation, seeking to meet one of the existing social and academic demands in the Amazon region. The Program has received candidates from other states in the North region and the rest of Brazil, as well as having graduated from a Master's degree from Colombia. That fact demonstrates the reach and relevance obtained by the PPGEAP within the Amazon region.
Participation of teachers in events
The Program counts with several teachers inserted in the national and international scientific scenario through participation in events as lecturers and technical advisors, both in Brazil and abroad, as well as through their performance in the review of international journals.
